What Atlas records when attending an electrical work order

Property and portfolio managers need a clear picture after an electrical attendance. Atlas aims to leave a useful record of what mattered on that visit - without treating every attendance as a full electrical inspection of the property.

Formats can vary with the job. What follows is the kind of information Atlas looks to capture, not a promise of one fixed report template for every ticket.

The reported issue

Start from what was asked: the fault or request as described on the work order, plus anything clarified before or on arrival.

Site observations and work completed

Record what was observed in relation to the job, what work was completed within the approved scope, and any testing or checks relevant to that task. Photos help when they show the condition found or the finished work.

Materials, incomplete work, and access limits

Note materials or components changed when that is relevant. If work could not be completed, say why. Access problems, occupied spaces, or missing keys belong in the record so the next visit starts from truth.

Safety concerns and recommendations

Safety concerns that are reasonably in view may be noted. Recommendations are separate from completed work. Atlas does not invent tasks to manufacture volume, and does not assume responsibility for every defect on site simply by attending one work order.

Keep these four lines distinct

Completed work. Observed concern. Recommended work. Quoted future work that needs separate approval. Mixing these creates confusion for managers, owners, and the next person on site.

Why records matter over time

Useful records make repeat maintenance easier. Labelled history, previous faults, and clear recommendations help Atlas - and the manager - understand the asset without relearning it on every ticket.
